Telecom Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance and problem resolution activities for the voice network under the guidance of a more senior team member Responsibilities: -Technician will be oriented with all data closets on site and the entire facilities layout. -Responsibilities will include moving data connections in the closets and verifying connectivity at the desk. -Onsite resource to trouble-shoot voice/data connection issues. -Work with remote administrators to set up and deploy new hire phones -Familiarity with Cisco Call Manager and Unity voicemail is a definite plus. -Assist with moving users telephones from one location to another. -Provide onsite resource for remote administrators and assist in problem resolution -Resolve problem tickets under close supervision for assigned systems within designated performance metrics and in accordance with all applicable SOPs, team processes and management guidelines. -Complete non-problem service requests (such as performance reviews) in accordance with established team processes. -Complete and document test plans to validate system modifications and/or data integrity as a role in change control processes within planned projects or problem resolution activities. -Assist in maintaining technical and user documentation. -Assist with conducting system analysis and configuration under close supervision. -Provide off-hours and / or escalated support through participation in rotating pager coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. -Identify, collect, analyze and report on metrics surrounding system performance, problem resolution performance and resource management.
