Modis is looking for a Desktop Support candidates for a job in Louisville, KY 42202. The Help Desk/Desktop Support role will be part of team to assist in upgrading 60,000 users in North America from Windows 7 to Windows 10.   An ideal candidate will have solid experience and familiarity with MS Office and Outlook 2007/2010/2013 and know how to diagnose connectivity & server issues.  If you are looking to be part of a Help Desk team that is  a fun (yes, fun) friendly, provides excellent  professional training and promotes from within, please take a look below.
 
HELP DESK SUPPORT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (but not limited to):
 

  • Supports users in diagnosing, reporting and resolving or correcting hardware and software problems.
  • Installs, maintains and troubleshoots hardware and software according to company standards – reconfigures existing systems and/or performs system upgrades as required.
  • Logs all issues with appropriate documentation as requested by Level II and III support teams.
  • Route calls to appropriate support teams as per described troubleshooting steps.
  • Monitor and escalate issues until resolution closure or the appropriate group has accepted.
 
REQUIRED (MUST HAVES) SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Know how the ticketing process works, perform escalation if need be.
  • Know and comfortable with MS Office and Outlook products.
  • Comfortable working in an environment that is metric driven (# of calls logged, tickets resolved, talk time, etc.).   
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to show up on time and have positive attitude.
 
PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is desired.   
  • Experience with VPN, modems, routers
  • Familiarity with Remote Access tools.
