The SharePoint Developer will work with the owners of the Standards Review Board and the Architectural Review Board to understand the processes that their respective stakeholders are expected to follow in their respective areas. This role will clarify the requirements and use a modeling tool to document the full requirements in a minimalist manner, as needed for clarity.

The SharePoint Developer will work with members of the product team to understand the environment and web parts for the next release, and will propose a design that makes appropriate use of all relevant features available in the IT-hosted SharePoint environment.

The SharePoint Developer will leverage existing graphic standards required for IT web sites and will produce a site that is compliant with those standards.

The SharePoint Developer will develop the site(s) as appropriate to meet the documented business needs, test and deploy the site, move data from the existing site(s) to the new site, and insure that users of the new site(s) have appropriate instructional materials (help docs, wiki pages, etc., as necessary) to navigate successfully.

  • Experience with the following SharePoint capabilities/functions:
    • Security / Auth / Auth
    • Lifecycle document management and archival
    • Document Version control
    • Workflow
    • Metrics and dashboards
    • Search and tagging
    • Meeting support
    • Lists and list management
    • Document publishing
    • SharePoint deployment
    • Configuring for manageability and maintainability
    • Experience in developing Custom Templates

  • Experience with MS Expression
  • Skills and background in XML / XSL (XSLT a plus)
  • Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation
  • At least one year of experience using C# and ASP.NET
  • Experience with UX design, including usability, look and feel, compliance with standards
  • Familiarity with tools for requirements management and traceability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new technology / features
  • Previous large-scale software industry experience a plus
