Job Title Business Systems Analyst
Duties Works closely with end users to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional requirements. Works with the development teams to design solutions. Participates in all phases of the systems development lifecycle - requirements definition to issues resolution, testing and implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supports the requirements process for the Integration of our clients Medical Information documents into their Global Medical Response (GMR) application to meet functional area business needs in Medical Affairs. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of technical solutions by providing business process analysis design, strategic vision, best practice research, detailed requirements definition alignment, user-centric functional design, vendor evaluations, systems assessments, and user acceptance facilitation. The senior BSA is expected to actively support the development of the BSA team by mentoring others, monitoring deliverables for quality, and adherence to the Project Lifecycle Process (PLC).
DUTIES:
* Plan early stage project efforts; specifically, requirements gathering methods based on user community work style, requirements assessment and scoping, and project initiation and funding
* Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and Designers on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks
* Analyze and document current and future business process models
* Plan and facilitate workshops and end-user working sessions intended to surface requirements and validate designs
* Analyze and document high-level requirements (scope)
* Analyze and document detailed functional requirements and business rules (use cases)
* Analyze and document data requirements (from business needs perspective)
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years business systems analysis and support experience with various types of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (REQUIRED)
* 3+ years experience in Biotechnology or Pharma (REQUIRED)
* Experience in creating requirements for Documentum based document management and workflow systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
* Must be able independently handle complex problems, write specifications and create and execute complex deployment plans
* Ability to rapidly understand business requirements and communicate business expectations to cross-functional technology development teams.
* Demonstrated ability to quickly learn the business in unfamiliar areas
* Some Global travel (2-3 trips) will be required
Education (REQUIRED)
* Bachelors Degree in CS, MIS, Life Sciences or Business
